A graduate of the Vienna Academy of Fine Arts,  Luca is a photographer and journalist. He began his career in Genoa (Italy) in the early 1990’s.

Since 1992, reportages from Bosnia-Erzegovina, Italy, Iraq, Afganistan, Japan, Cina, North Korea, Austria, Germany, U.S.A, Mexico, Ghana,Turkey, Slowakia, for:
Il Manifesto, La Repubblica, L'Espresso, Il Venerdi' di Repubblica, D/Repubblica, Spiegel-TV, Der Spiegel, Stern, Die Zeit, ORF "Austrian Broadcasting," 
R.S.I "Radio Televisione della Svizzera italiana," News, Format, Profil, Falter, Die Presse, DerStandard, Kurier, Wienerzeitung, Kurier Japon, The Independent, APA Picture Desk, AP, ADNKRONOS, ANSA,  BBC.

Particularly significant for his professional development was the coverage of the war in Afghanistan and Iraq, and the several visits to North Korea: the photos from these locales have appeared in countless publications and have been shown in a number of personal exhibitions in important art museums.  His work has also been featured in fourteen book publications. He is also a cofounder of Planetnext (2010).

Passionate and dedicated about his art, Luca has been generous in passing on his knowledge and experience, having taught courses at the School for artistic Photography and at Vienna University.  But he is especially proud of his part in the “Photo workshop with immigrant youths”, organized by the City of Vienna, to which he has returned year after year.
